FACING DISCOURAGEMENT: Don't give up,GOD STILL MOVES MOUNTAIN

"Dont be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, who has been crucified. He is not here.He has risen from the dead as HE SAID HE WOULD." Matthew 28:5
This beautiful story is written by my favorite Author Mr. MAX LUCADO. Everytime i'm facing discouragement or feels so empty within me, i just read His writings and reflects with the bible, and it's uplift me.The problem is still there, but what makes the difference is that my faith and hope is refresh that i can now face all difficulties knowing that i'm not alone to deal with it.
Here's PORTION of the story, i already summarized it... Hope it will revive your soul and spirit.

"It's a dark sunday morning. It had been dark since Friday.Dark with Peter's denial, dark with the desciples' betrayal, Dark with Pilate's cowardice, Dark with Christ anguish, Dark with Satan's Glee. The only amber of light is the small band of women standing at a distance from the cross - watching ( Matthew 27:55).
Among them are the two Mary, the mother of James and Joseph and Mary Magdalene. They are there to prepare Jesus' body for burial,to clean the blood, to close his eyes and to simply touch his face. So early on that Sunday morning, they leave their pallets and walk out onto the tree-shadowed path, expecting nothing but an encounter with a corpse. Not knowing that it is the FIRST EASTER.The two Mary thought they were alone that morning,They thought their journey was unnoticed. They were wrong.God knew.He was watching them walk up the mountain. He was measuring their steps. And He had a surprise waiting for them.
" At that time there was a strong earthquake. An angel of the Lord came down from heaven, went to the tomb, and rolled the stone away from the entrance. Then he sat on the stone. He was shining bright as lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The soldiers guarding the tomb shook with fear because of the angel, and they became like dead men". Matthew 28:2-4
Why did the angel move the stone? For whom did he roll away the rock? For Jesus? But think about it. Did the stone had to be removed in order for Jesus to exit?Did God have to have help? Was the death conqueror so weak that he couldn't push away the rock? I don't think so.The text gives the impression that Jesus was already out when the stone was moved. For whom then, was the stone moved?
The angel says,"Come and see the place where his body WAS..." verse 6. The stone was moved-not for Jesus-but for the women, so they could see in. "Go quickly and tell his followers, Jesus has risen from the dead..." (verse 7).
God does that for the faithful, just when the road was too dark for Mary and Mary, the angel glows and the Savior shows,& the 2 women will never be the same. The lesson...DON'T GIVE UP.Is the trail dark?Don't sit.Is the road long?Don't stop.Is the night black,Don't Quit.God is watching.God still sends angels. And God still moves mountain...To God be the Glory...

On being a Working Mom

As a working mom, many hours of my life are spend working, not just 8 to 9 hours a day but even more. But I always make it a point that saturdays and sundays are for my family, or if not possible, I let my son hang with me wherever i go, at least I have a chaperon (lol).

Nowadays, almost all of my friends are working Mom. I wonder if they chose to be one. As for me, I prefer to work, because I have to, but I'm not a kinda' career woman, my family is always my first priority. And if given a chance to earn a good income while staying at home I will gladly quit my job. But considering all the bills we need to pay, that tied me up to my current work. That's why I'm working so hard to find a good job here in the internet...

I've noticed that at our generations, every opportunity for a mother are widely open, i mean not just for mothers but for all the women as a whole. Have you seen a lady cab driver..Here in the philippines, A " manang " (old lady) driving a tricycle ( a three wheeled Motorbike )or even jeepney's (public Utility vehicle) are possible. and that's their job. I wonder if construction Workers are now open for women? (lol)

Mother and thier babies in the Philippines

According to Wikipedia, as of July 2008, Philippine Population's about 90.5 million with still 7,107 island. Whew! According to National Statistics Office - Philippines, our population to date is 90.46M as of August 2008. Mind you last July 2007 we're 88.57M. So it means there are 1.89M additional babies from our Filipina Mothers this year. Which also means 157thousand babies were born every month or 5,250 every day.

There's no problem having babies, they are God's gift to us. But what about their future, if we do have so many kids in the house. Say we have at least 5 children to feed plus the 2 parents, making it 7 mouth, with an earning amounting to P50 ( less than a dollar ) a day? Just a thought for a day...
